Compare actual dive plans
Ask for the exact site, the intended dive profile and how the boat supports the group. Names such as Aquarium are used in different diving destinations; specify Catalina Island near La Romana when discussing the route.
Seeing marine life responsibly
Treat sightings as an opportunity rather than an inclusion on a sales list. Keep your distance, avoid feeding fish and let the guide set the route. If you are traveling with snorkelers, agree when and where the group reunites.
